Race 2 Grosses 66 Crore Nett In Week One

Race 2 grossed 66 crore nett in week one as collections fell from Monday on wards  The fall was bigger in the mass circuits as places like CPCI came down quite fast. The film held up a bit better in Delhi/UP and East Punjab.

The first week collections are the highest for a film featuring Saif Ali Khan or John Abraham and has already crossed the figures of Race (2008) but the film has not gone on from a good weekend. Race (2008) had grossed around 61 crore nett.

The second weekend is all important for the film and will tell where the film is going.

Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor will not be seen performing in happening New Year parties this year. The actors are firm about spending time with their near and dear ones. While Kat is reportedly planning to join her family in London, Bebo will be spending quality time with husband Saif Ali Khan. We hear that they both were offered a whopping Rs 2 crores approximately for live dance shows, but looks like the two ladies simply want to sit back and relax with their loved ones.

Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu, Kangna Ranaut and Sunny Leone are some of the top names in the organiser’s list. Although none of them have given a confirmation yet, buzz is that PC might shake a leg with Salman Khan at a show in Dubai. And Bong babe Bips and Kangy have been offered around Rs 1 crore for grooving at a high-end party. Jism 2 babe Leone has also been offered Rs 26 lakhs. As the season of earning a mighty amount of moolah approaches, we wait to see which of them give their nod to the desperate organisers.

Ever since the filmmaker announced directing a period drama next, after his youth rom-com Student Of The Year, there have been all kinds of stories doing the rounds regarding the film’s starcast. Firstly, it was news of Ranbir Kapoor sharing screen space with Shahrukh Khan; later rumours suggested that Ranbir has been finalized as the lead, while Karan’s close friend SRK not star in the film at all.

Now, if the latest goss is to be believed, the Dharma Productions’ head honcho has pulled off a casting coup of sorts. While SRK might not star in his close buddy’s film, Karan is considering Saif Ali Khan – not in place of SRK, sillies! In all probability, the Chote Nawab will play a very significant cameo, and might get to romance his real life begum Kareena Kapoor. While Ranbir’s leading lady has not been finalised yet, our alert birdie feels that there are chances of Ranbir and Kareena teaming up as brother and sister in the film. How smart, Karan! Remember how Zoya Akhtar too tried to get Ranbir and Kareena play siblings for her upcoming movie a few months ago.

Our sources had told us that the couple is keen on a court marriage rather than a dhoom dhaamwedding. Our feathered friend has now confirmed our speculation. He told us that on September 12 the new Nawab of Pataudi actor filed an application for marriage at the Bandra marriage registrar’s office. That means he can get married to to-be begum Bebo anytime post 30 days of the application date. And since the reception invites is scheduled for October 18 at the royal family home in Bhopal, the Saifeena wedding will take place between October 11 and 17. But what’s most important is that Saif-Kareena have opted for a very secular way to make their five-year-long relationship official.

So all those Bebo fans who are eager to know if their Heroine will change her religious background for the nikaah, like her to-be mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore, nope! In fact, if you remember Kareena, Karisma Kapoor and mom Babita Kapoor are regularly seen at the Mount Mary Church in Bandra on special occasions. And ever since Saif started dating Bebo he too is seen with the family at the Christian place of worship.

Clearly Saifeena’s love knows no religious boundaries. Welikes! But we don’t like this secretive attitude towards the shaadi!

Finally the date has been announced. All the hype and guessing surrounding Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s wedding ceremonies may soon come to an end.

If reports are to can be trusted , Saif’s mother and actress Sharmila Tagore has started with preparations for the wedding and apparently, a lot of invites have already been sent to people for the wedding which according to reports will take place on the 16th of october, as planned.

Last month, as we reported that the wedding would take place in two stages, with an actual ceremony in Delhi followed by a lavish celebrity affair in Mumbai.

Sharmila Tagore had said that the big fat royal wedding would be attended by close family members.

And reports also suggest that Saif’s younger sister Saba Ali Khan, who is a jewellery designer, is in-charge of the wedding preparations along with Sharmila.
