CHENNAI EXPRESS first look: Are Shahrukh Khan-Deepika Padukone recreating DDLJ?

CHENNAI EXPRESS first look:Are Shahrukh Khan-Deepika Padukone recreating DDLJ?

The leggy lass is seen doing the famous scene from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in her upcoming film Chennai Express. Do you think Dips can evoke the same romantic feeling a la Kajol?

Remember a hasty Kajol running to catch the train, while the charming (and much younger) Shahrukh Khan extends his helping hand to get the chirpy gal on board in Aditya Chopra’s 1995 blockbusterDilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge? Well, you are going to revisit the magical scene from DDLJ in Rohit Shetty’s next, Chennai Express. Only this time around, it’s Deepika and not Kajol who will be seen chasing the train. Interestingly, Shahrukh will again make sure that his new Simran..errr..lady love doesn’t miss the train. Will the two recreate the magic of the legendary scene, and pull off the act the way SRK’s Raj Malhotra and Kajol’s Simran Singh did many years ago? We are not quite sure about that!

A little birdie who keeps a watch on the recent happenings of B-town chirped to us that Rohit Shetty has started the shooting of Chennai Express, starring Dips and SRK in the lead role, and the film is slated to release in 2013.

Shahrukh Khan-Katrina Kaif-Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Tak Hai Jaan: What’s the story of Yash Chopra’s forthcoming film?

Shahrukh Khan-Katrina Kaif-Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Tak Hai Jaan: What’s the story of Yash Chopra’s forthcoming film?

We combined our fertile imaginations with our zany sense of humour and cooked up a story for Yash Chopra’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan. It may be or may not be true, but this is our interpretation of the new romance!

When the man (Yash Chopra) who has made the best love stories ever teams up with the man (Shahrukh Khan) who looks best making love onscreen, we expect to see a crackling, mind-blowing epic romance.

And since Jab Tak Hai Jaan will be the YRF founder’s last film as a director, the SRK-Katrina Kaif-Anushka Sharma starrer has to offer audiences something more than two good-looking people singing and dancing in the Swiss Alps, the woman in a Manish Malhotra sari and the hunk in an Ed Hardy jacket.

What do we know for sure about this one? For starters, JTHJ is set in London, Ladakh and Kashmir.

But Aditya Chopra‘s poetry as narrated by SRK, the film’s trailer, the three pivotal characters and some old and new, some original and some clichéd aspects of the plot that we can deduce are enough to conjure up a slightly crazy, modern-day love story that could be senior Chopra’s last ode to romance.

And as we listened to the poetic creativity of Aditya Chopra in SRK’s mellow voice, we let our minds come up with some magic that could unfold onscreen…soon.

Anushka Sharma may join Salman Khan in Kick...

Anushka Sharma may join Salman Khan in Kick...

Anushka Sharma made a confident debut in Bollywood.

Now we hear that she has started the groundwork to star in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Salman Khan in Kick.

Just recently we heard that Deepika Padukone was trying hard to make her way into Salman Khan’s onscreen life, but Anushka might bag this role because she has more dates to spare. Deepika has a number of big-name projects already to work on, while Anushka has only three films in her kitty. That will make it easy for her to concentrate on the Sallu movie, and director Sajid Nadiadwala – who is making his directorial debut with Kick – might appreciate it if his leading lady had plenty of time to spare for him.

For now, we don’t know who finally will romance the Dabangg dude in Kick, but watch this space for all the developments on this South remake.
